Bob Marley

It’s been crazy hot in LA the last few days. I’m talking 100+ and its only April. For some reason when the weather is hot, Bob Marley starts getting extra rotation in my life. I’ve spent the majority of the last few days listening to Roots, Rock, Remixed.  I was looking at some old Bob videos when I came upon this one which is comprised of footage of Bob playing soccer. I had seen a lot of videos of his with soccer in them, but not this compilation of all soccer footage. And if you haven’t heard the Roots, Rock, Remixed album, pick it up and throw it on at a party this summer.

Summer’s Almost Over

So this is the last weekend of summer. Hope everyone has had a good one. With summer on it’s way out, I had to throw up a little Bob. Even though Bob is s staple at all times, he seems to come out that much more in the summer. BBQ’s, lounging the the pool, iPod at the beach…whatever and wherever it is, there always seems to be more of his tunes getting played in the warmer months. I for one am perfectly ok with that. So ride the rest of summer 2008 out with just a little bit more of Bob.

Bob Marley Soccer

Bob Marley is one of our favorite artists of all time, and one of the coolest soccer players of all time.  Martin Scorcese is one of our favorite directors and a legend in the movie making business.   What do they have in common you ask?  Well Scorcese is making a documentary about the legendary Rastafarian and footie fan.  No details on a planned release date, but this is one we will keep an eye on and keep you informed as details get released.  In the meantime, turn your speaker up, sit back and enjoy the clip below.  If you weren’t aware, his 65th birthday just past on Feb 10th.
