Mark Hughes is pretty adamant that there is no way that Robinho should play any role in Brazil’s back to back International Friendlies after the 25 year old has missed Manchester City’s last 11 matches through an ankle injury.
Brazil’s state development bank BNDES said it will provide up to 4.8 billion reais (US$2.77 billion) for work on the 12 stadia that will stage matches in the 2014 World Cup, despite a promise from organisers that public funds would only be needed for infrastructure. (more…)
Edison Arantes do Nascimento , (born, Três Corações, Minas Gerais, Brazil, 23 October 1940), best known by his nickname Pelé, is a Brazilian football player. He was given the title “Athlete of the Century” by the International Olympic Committee. In 1999 Time Magazine named Pelé one of the 100 Most Important People of the 20th Century.
