Flying Car Has Successful Test Flight

flying-car-1

I have been waiting for this for a long time. And it seems that the day where we have flying cars is getting closer. The flying cars are a product of Terrafugia and are the brainchild of some really smart folks from MIT.

Terrafugia was founded in 2006 by award-winning MIT-trained aeronautical engineers and MBA’s – who also happen to be passionate private pilots. The company’s mission is to provide innovative solutions to the challenges facing personal aviation. The result: the Transition® Roadable Aircraft.

Once we get this figured out, can someone please make some hoverboards and jet packs for the public?

tramontana.jpg

Two years ago, Autoblog.com tracked down a small, independent automaker on the floor of the Geneva Motor Show that promised to deliver a segment-busting supercar to those bored with Lamborghinis and Ferraris. Fast-forward to today and the Tramontana Group seems to have made good on its promise with the unveiling of the Tramontana R Edition.

MB G-Class x 30yo= G Class Edition30

g1.jpg

from emercedezbenz.com:

It’s been thirty years since production began on the Mercedes G-Class, and since then, it’s become one of the most enduring models of our time.  In total, some 200,000 units of the G-Class have been delivered to customers around the world, all the more impressive considering its design has remained largely unchanged throughout its life span.  Of course, as with any noteworthy Mercedes birthday, it’s only fitting a special anniversary model is unveiled to celebrate the occasion, and the G-Glass’ 30th is no exception.  In fact, Mercedes has announced the availability of not only one, but two special G-Class 30th anniversary models:  the G-Class EDITION30 and G-Class EDITION30.PUR.

Say what you want about the G, or the guys who drive them, but if given the chance I would push a murdered-out joint, no questions asked, in a cocaine heartbeat. More pics, new and throwback, after the jump

Smart Football at Top Gear Live

from autobloggreen.com:

Car football soccer is one of these silly things some people love to do with their wheels, and it’s most assuredly quite a show. Add in the excitement of watching a match between two of the best national teams in Europe, England and Germany, and you might get this: a soccer game being “played” by people in smart fortwos painted in the country colors of England’s St. George’s cross and Germany’s Bundesflagge. England’s team was led by Top Gear’s Richard Hammond and Germany’s five-car team by James May. The result? Well, England won 4-3 at Earl’s Court
