UPDATE - A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: ‘I can confirm we are investigating the incident. An inquiry is being conducted by the Football Unit at Fulham police station. No-one has been arrested.’
An FA spokesman added: ‘We are investigating. That’s all I can say until we have had a chance to look into it further.’
Not only were Chelsea booted from the Carling Cup after losing out to Championship side Burnley 5 - 4 in Pk’s, but Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba might find himself in some incredibly hot water with the Football Association and maybe even the police.
After opening the scoring with an incredible first goal in six months after having come back from injury, Drogba ran to celebrate his goal when Burnley supporters started throwing objects at him.

It didn’t matter the Chelsea dropped 5 on Roy Keane’s Sunderland side this morning as Roman Abramovich made it clear that his aim of balancing Chelsea’s books by 2010 was still on the forefront.
