Checked in and already cruised around for a bit after running into a few of the New England Revolution boys in the lobby…  Heading over to Greek Islands for dinner with the FSC boys.

Even though they’re pushing for the top spot in the Eastern Conference, the Chicago Fire has announced the sale of 2008 Best XI defender Bakary Soumare to Ligue 1 side Boulogne for a reported fee of $2.14 Million.

One of the coolest things I’ve seen during the 2009 MLS Season has been the Chicago Fire X Toyota Park X Bridgeview Fire Department X Section 8 agreement to allow flares to be set off during home games.

Is this Istambul?  Belgrade??  Athens???  No, this is Bridgeview, Illinois and Chicago’s Section 8 during the closing moments against Houston on Friday night.  The ESPN2 video and Glenn Davis call is a must see.

The “Coach Osorio Derby” always gets lively on account of the coach’s controversial departure from Bridgeview to go to New Jersey, and his family’s less than enthusiastic feelings towards the Second City.

Cooper hits an amazing goal, but the Chicago Fire’s “Over the Hill Gang” are way too much for FCD.
