“From 02 to 06, Ginger’s Alehouse won the US Soccer Best Soccer Bar Award four years running. However, once the former Ginger’s manager struck out on his own in 2004 and opened The Globe Pub just down the road, I hadn’t known a single person in Chicago who watched games at Ginger’s.”

I’ve always been extremely skeptical of quotes in newspapers coming out of other countries AND having to translate said quotes, but when it involves current New York Red Bull head coach Juan Carlos Osorio and a similar situation as to what we saw during the 2007 / 08 off season with the Chicago Fire, that’s when those articles start to catch my eye.

Section8Chicago to the Chicago Fire - It’s Time To Make Good On Your Promises

“Section 8 Chicago has made repeated and extensive efforts to work out a resolution with the Fire front office throughout the season about the ticket commission and bench issue. After months of frustration, Section 8 Chicago’s board of directors’ chairman Ben Burton recently personally contacted Fire owner Andrew Hauptman to address the issue. Hauptman delegated the issue to Fire President Dave Greeley, who told Burton on November 10th that the Fire could not currently resolve the situation. ”
