Being a young kid in the 80’s here in LA meant that one of the things that you did was skateboard. One of the skaters at that time we looked up to was Lance Mountain, one of the OG riders for Bones Brigade. Lance teamed up with another legend, Craig Stecyk, whose work helped lead to the Z Boys documentary as well as founding art magazine Juxtapoz, to work on these Nike Blazers. An almost entirely orange sneaker can be a tough one to pull off, but I like the outcome of this one. Not sure of  a realese date yet, but they should be part of an upcoming SB release pack.

Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney is the new face of Mercedes after signing a two year, 1 Million Euro deal with the German automakers.

With the deal finalized just last week, Rooney took delivery of a customized Mercedes Benz CL63 Coupe worth £121,200.

Fierce combination of some seriously talented artists…

They performed this at the Japanese festival Summer Sonic on August 10th

In May 2008, Upper Playground, celebrity tattoo artist Mister Cartoon and photographer / director Estevan Oriol opened a series of four distinct retail locations in the Skid Row section of Los Angeles, including a pop up store that features a rotating theme of unique fashion and art concepts for shirt periods of time.

Beginning on August 14, 2008, the pop up space will be transformed into a tribute to film legends Robert De Niro and Al Pacino as part of their upcoming feature film from Overture Films titled The Righteous Kill. The film will be released September 12, 2008.

Letters A-H have been revealed and gone on sale, so now comes the time to reveal letters I-P. Stores for this round include  Just Be, Kendo, Livestock, Major, Neighborhood, and Patta. Chromeo’s got a tight little mashup with Van Damme, or the guy who’s moves could pass for Hugh Hefner if it wasn’t for the black tank top.

Nike got together with Japan’s famed fleecewear specialists Loopwheeler where they collaborated on a couple of hoodies. Now comes word that this collaboration extended to this pair of Blazer hi’s. Featuring loopwheeler fleece on the upper, black leather and the same orange tag that can be seen on the hoodies. These will be released this Saturday in very limited quantities at Firmament.
