American Billionaire and Major League Soccer - Colorado Rapids (amongst many other sports teams) owner Stan Kroenke has once again upped his stake in Premiership side Arsenal to 28.7% and is now just 1.2% short of having to make the obligatory takeover bid.

Spencer, Trey and myself will be talking with Ugo Ihemelu and Robbie Findley about the battle for The Rocky Mountain Cup between the Colorado Rapids and Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto (Saturday on Fox Soccer Channel) tonight at 7pm Mountain Time on KALL 700AM.

With Javier Morales and Kyle Beckerman suspended due to Yellow Card Accumulation and Pablo Mastroeni missing with the US National Team, things could get interesting and a win for Colorado would give them The Rocky Mountain Cup back.

Just rolled into this top floor view of the Marriot City Center Hotel in downtown Denver. Still not sure why I get my own room when I never got it as a player…. Seems a bit backwards.

According to the AP, Gary Smith has been named head coach of the Colorado Rapids.  Smith took over from Fernando Clavijo in August and was given the interim title. Looks like that title has been removed with Smith being officially announced as the Rapids head coach.
