San Francisco At Houston - Champions League Highlights

What an amazing game. Nuts!!!
Our boy Kyle Sheldon over at Behind The Badge sent us over some pics from Honduras ahead of tonight’s DC United at Marathon Champions League match.
Tonight’s match will be shown live on FSC at 7pm West Coast.
Big match tonight for DC United, facing Costa Rican giants Saprissa at home in the CONCACAF Champions League tonight on Fox Soccer Channel at 8pm Eastern.
It’s going to be a tough one after losing 2 - nil in Panama, but Chivas USA did not have to deal with any travel, heat / humidity and a crap field this week.
Remember though, it’s massively important they don’t give up a goal. If they do, they’ll have to score even more in tonight’s CONCACAF Champions League 2nd leg.
Of course my SkullCandy’s were being rocked tonight for the game with Jon Herz, but a pretty impressive result tonight for Puerto Rico v Alajuelense.
Especially considering the fact that Puerto Rico’s only been in existence since 2004.
While it was pretty much only one way traffic, no one will remember how well they play a few weeks from now, only that they walked out of Costa Rica with a point.
While it’s a disappointing loss on the road, Castro’s PK (a vital away goal) will come into play next Tuesday night at New England.
Depth and figuring out how to get results on the road… MLS teams are going to need a lot more depth while having to deal with travel, injuries, suspensions, fans and away pitches.
It’s just not going to get any easier if New England and Chivas USA make it through the Qualification stages.
Just got done with the Concacaf Champions League first leg between Cruz Azul and Hankook Verdes down at the FSC studios with my boy Jon Herz.
While it’s still only the Preliminaries, Cruz Azul was on fire tonight against a much weaker opponent.
Tomorrow night it’s Puerto Rico Islanders down in Costa Rica against Alajuelense.
