One of the things that was always extremely cool about being a player in MLS was seeing parts of these historic sporting event stadiums throughout the country that not too many could. Whether the be the locker rooms or stepping foot onto the pitch themselves, the one thing I always wondered about was the side of the event that was brought into the living rooms of the fans week in and week out, the television production side.
And with RFK Stadium being one of the more historical stadiums that MLS plays in and will one day be no more, doing a game on the production side is a bit more interesting than the others.
Dan, Koluder and I had one of the more interesting conversations on the way to the game with our cab driver, a native of Ghana and a man who had some very interesting opinions on the state of the National Team led by the likes of Essien and Appiah and why they dominate at the youth international level.
