You know you have a Huka addiction if you make yourself a traveling edition to your collection. Meet the Huka-on-the-go. My friend Jason is everything Huka and is in the starting phases of his Huka table company. I can attest he leads the lifestyle of a true connoisseurs of the Middle-Eastern pastime.

I don’t think he’ll be able to market these in California with the new laws in effect.

Flavor Paper x Chinatown Soccer Club Wallpaper

Filed under: Chinatown Soccer Club, Design, Euro 2008

flavor-paper-x-csc-1

Last weekend at ADICUP we met one of the dudes who is a part of Chinatwon Soccer Club who also happened to design the adidas x CSC Sala. While we were chatting he told uhow they were over in Austria during Euro 2008  where they presented some art and memorabilia. Today I stumble across this wall paper that was featured at the exhibition in Austria. The wallpaper has special design features in it that are supposed to give people a sense of the CSC home field. Pretty clever. Check out a few more images after the jump.

Audi Design Soccer Table

Filed under: Design, FC Uptown, Foosball, Germany

Everybody is getting into the foosball design game…

“The formal idiom of the Audi Design soccer table reflects the Audi design philosophy without incorporating any individual elements or shapes from specific vehicle models.

The styling is entirely new for a soccer table: its futuristic, progressive appearance affords a glimpse into future trends in design. “When you’re playing a game on the Audi Design soccer table, its dynamic character conjures up the atmosphere of a modern, architecturally appealing soccer stadium”, added Monnerjan…”

Foosball Goes Designer

designer-foosball-table

Dunny tipped you off about this super sleek foosball table awhile back, and now comes this gem.  Designed by Jared Arp’s, this $9500 foosball table is constructed from hard maple and silver lace wood. Apparently there is only one table, and if you are interested in splashing out, all sale terms must be negotiated with Jared personally.

Inflatable Pontoon Boat

Filed under: Boats, Cool Ish, Design

inflatable-pontoon-boat

I have watched my fair share of Man vs. Wild and Survivorman and these shows have left me wondering if I ever really want to wonder out into the wilderness again.  Imagine how much easier their jobs would be if they carried this inflatable boat around in their backpack. Getting off that mountain (they always follow the river) or escaping a deserted island just got a whole lot easier. If this backpack has room for some other survival essentials, then this might just be of the handiest inventions for campers and other outdoor folks. And if the outdoors is not your thing, at least you can now tell the ladies you own a boat…

World’s Coolest Coffee Table

Nintendo Coffee Table

If you grew up like we did, then you spent some serious time on the OG Nintendo system. Conquering Mario Bros, secret codes for Contra and trying to figure out what the hell Zelda was all about. With that in mind, this coffee table has been created paying homage to the classic Nintendo system. Cool coffee table you say right? But so waht, what can it do for me? Wel folks, this is actually a fully working controller. Pop off the glass top, throw in your favorite classic Nintendo game and get busy. Check the video of this controller being played after the jump

Nike 1/1 Collective

The point of The Original Winger is to showcase the things that we individually and collectively like and find inspiring, which in turn is an extension of what we do and what inspires us with Bumpy Pitch. For me personally, the things that inspire me most are soccer, culture, music and art (amongst many others). I believe deep down that soccer and art have a connection and that when you are able to partner the two of them you can come up with something incredible. This does not include those cheesy soccer drawings and posters that I grew up with and that are still out there, but rather people taking a look at the sport and how it impacts their life and and how all of this translates into art.

FIFA Street 3 x Ryan Geez

FIFA STreet 3 x Ryan Geez

In an effort to help promote FIFA Street 3, EA Sports teamed with Ryan Geez (and it looks like 4 other artists) to issue a promotional ball.  Looks like Ryan Geez went with a basketball inspired ball to play off the whole street thing as much as possible. It appears that they are giving these balls away, and that all you need to do is answer some fairly simple questions that any soccer fan will know. For more info and to enter to win a ball, head here now.

Holygame

Holygame

If you are like me, then you look at soccer as a religion. There are millions of us that follow the sport faithfully, and design firm +41 and Nike have used this faith asinspiration for their “HolyGame”. According to Josh Spear, “Their installation, a part of the Nike 1/1 project, made up of Football shoes laced to each other and surrounding a soccer ball comes off as a remarkable religious prayer monument of sorts that might even prompt those immersed in the fanaticism of the football cult to bow and pay homage to that sport which they hold most dear.” I’m with that…If you happen to be in Switzerland this June, pop by the Art Basel Show and peep this for yourself.
