Check out the new Twitter Offices in San Francisco… Its written up that its a lot more space than the old offices, and its full of fun workspaces, a lot of “@” and “birds”, a dj booth, and a few quirky things. Facebook has just relocated to a huge 150,000 square foot space in Palo Alto, California. This used to be a lab facility and it has been revamped to reflect on the core values of Facebook; creativity, freedom of expression and individuality. As you can see from the pics of the headquarters, this spot is hella dope. I wouldn’t mind walking in, swiping my card here and finding a nice couch to sit on while I pound away at my lapper. Love the look of this place. We need to redo the BP_TOW frathouse to look something like this…wait until you see it!!

Check this coffee table that doubles as a foosball game. I could definitely see this coming in handy at times, and it no doubt would be a conversation starter. Although sitting down to play foosball seems like it could be somewhat awkward.

I find a lot, I mean a lot of random things on the Interwebs. I don’t share 90% of them as it would be way too much to post. I have a folder I save all this random ish in, pictures tucked away neatly for me to look at and laugh, ponder or get inspired by. Now feels like a good time to start breaking some of these pictures out and sharing them. I’ll start with this chair. I have no info on it, don’t know who makes it or where it comes from. All I know is it can be found in the Hotel Fasano de Rio de Janeiro and it looks super inviting. Not only does this chair scream “sit on me,” but if you had this in the crib, it would be the ultimate conversation starter everytime somebody came over. This chair is part furniture, part art piece, and I need one in my life.
If you are trying to find a way to add some flavor to the house, this turntable coffee table might be a good look for you. Not only is it unique and clever, but it is a guaranteed conversation starter. Check out Bughouse for some more incredible ways to add some interest to your digs.
Here’s another video from the Nike camp where they take us into the design process and the approach that they go through as they design and create soccer equipment. This new Ascente ball will be used in the upcoming season in the EPL, La Liga and Italian Seria A. There are so many products that we use on a daily basis, but that we never think about the process designers go through to get them right. It’s amazing to see how high tech the process of designing a soccer ball can really be. Vision scientists, advanced innovations teams, casing engineers, aerodynamics and wind tunnels! Think about the next time you kick a soccer ball. Actually don’t…leave that part to them.
