Didier Drogba

When things aren’t so going well early in the season, you’ve been suspended by the league and the guy starting in your place is on fire, you’d think the last thing you’d want is to be accused of would be having dinner with the Sporting Director and Agent of your former coach right?

An FA spokesman added: ‘We are investigating. That’s all I can say until we have had a chance to look into it further.’

Didier Drogba2

Not only were Chelsea booted from the Carling Cup after losing out to Championship side Burnley 5 - 4 in Pk’s, but Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba might find himself in some incredibly hot water with the Football Association and maybe even the police.

After opening the scoring with an incredible first goal in six months after having come back from injury, Drogba ran to celebrate his goal when Burnley supporters started throwing objects at him.

Asafa Says Their Fast

Filed under: Didier Drogba, Nike, Videos

While I’m still not sold on these boots based on sheer sturdiness alone, if C-Ron and Drogba rock them day in and day out, then they must be good.

Just damn expensive.

AC Milan Opens Negotiations With Didier Drogba

Filed under: AC Milan, Didier Drogba, Rumors

Didier Drogba

AC Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has told SkySports News that Milan has been allowed to open talks with Chelsea and Ivory Coast hit man Dider Drogba, but not Andrei Schevchenko.

Galliani has also admitted that he was able to convince Barcelona to allow personal negotiations with Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o.

Makes it pretty obvious that once the OG Ronaldo is back (healthy and fit), his time will be officially over.

And what will happen to Pato and his continuing development?  With Kaka moving deeper into the midfield, who’s the odd man out?  Flamini, Gattuso, Seedorf, Pirlo?

Drogba Makes Himself Available For Beijing

Didier Drogba

Chelsea’s (for now) Didier Drogba has officially made himself available for the Ivory Coast Olympic Team.

Salomon Kalou, both Toure brothers (Kolo and Yaya) and Didier Zokora have all made themselves available as well.

Throw in Constance Djakpa and Sekou Cisse from their 2008 Toulon Tournament team and you’ve got yourself a nice little starting 11 for your Group A match ups against Argentina, Australia and Serbia.

Drogba’s Red Card In Champions League Final

Filed under: Champions League, Didier Drogba, Red Cards

I was thinking about Drogba’s Red Card during my flight from Dallas to LAX on Sunday and it got my thinking.

We see so many times during huge matches (Zidane anyone) players lose their cool in a split second.  Hell, even I got a Red Card for retaliation during the 2000 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Hershey.

Why though?  Is it because the players want it so badly?  What do you think?

Did Drogba deserve to be sent off?

Drogba and Terry Fit

Filed under: Champions League, Chelsea, Didier Drogba, John Terry

Champions League Balls

It took only two days for Didier Drogba to declare that he and John Terry would be fit for the Champions League Final in Moscow next Wednesday.

Drogba’s knee injury during the latter stages of Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Bolton was a cause for concern while Terry had to leave the match with a dislocated elbow, but was seen on the pitch afterwards with his left arm in a sling.

Did anyone really think that either one of these players were going to miss the second biggest match in football?
