This isn’t good

In another shock FA Cup upset that was seen this morning on FSC, Tyke midfielder Brian Howard scored on literally the last kick of the game, pushing Championship side Barnsley past Liverpool 2-1. And how sick was Luke Steele in goal by the way? With all the critical focus on Rafa Benitez’ rotation policy and the lack of results in the Premiership, you’ve gotta start to wonder how much longer big man has.

Blackburn and Walt Disney World

Filed under: Blackburn Rovers, EPL, FA Cup

When you’re out of FA Cup competition and Champions League/Uefa Cup competition, you get to take a little R&R. Sometimes that means a little trip to Spain or Italy, but if you’ve got an American with pull, it means the good ol U.S. of A. Brad Friedel’s Blackburn Rovers open up a three day training stint at the Walt Disney Resort compound in Orlando on February 15th, 18th and 19th, taking full advantage of the warm weather and Disneyland.

If you think you’re gonna be able to turn on the T.V. Saturday morning and see the match up of the season, Arsenal at Old Trafford in the FA Cup fifth round clash, good luck since you’re getting Barnsley/Liverpool. Unless you’re willing to drop $50 for an at home viewing or want to enjoy fish and chips at 8am at The Fox and Hound, you’ll probably checking the internet like me, getting yelled at by your wife because the screen is too bright and she’s trying to sleep.

Steven Gerrard did again, dropping 3 on Luton in a 5-0 FA Cup demolition.  This sickest substitute in the game, Dutchman Ryan Babel put a bulge in just before halftime, with the Fin Sami Hyypia getting one in the 57th.  Looks like Rafa’s job is still safe for now.
