Stade de France Tunnel - Rennes vs Guingamp In Coupe de France Final

Los - Final

With Saturday’s Coupe de France final set between Stade Rennais F.C. and mid-table Ligue 2 side Guingamp (and a chance to book their place in Europe next season with a win), Friday’s day before the game preparations are in full swing as Carlos Bocanegra and the boys did their final walk through.

And if you ever wondered what it looked or felt like to leave the locker room and head out to the field at Stade de France, check the view Los sent us of the sunlight coming through from the end of the tunnel leading to 80,000 fans.

Oh, and just to be a little cryptic, you’ll definitely want to keep on eye out for what we have planned this summer….

Where Did It All Go Wrong

Filed under: Bumpy Pitch, Family, Music

I was talking to our boy Nick the other day about music and soccer, and about how much both influence what we do. There is a connection between the two, but finding interesting ways to mesh them is usually the challenge. We’ve been having this conversation with Nick for awhile and he brings an interesting perspective to the conversation as not only is he a big soccer fan, but he is also a really creative artist. From designing record covers for bands like The Clash, designing t-shirts for The Ramones to directing this Oasis video above.

Los Angeles Youth Network

I headed down to Trump National Golf Course in Palos Verdes on Saturday night to catch up with Gilles and Donal as they were hosting a charity poker tournament for the Los Angeles Youth Network.

LAYN’s mission is to help abused, neglected and homeless adolescents become self-sufficient.

We do this by providing street outreach, food, emergency shelter  and transitional living programs, with a professional, caring staff in a nurturing and safe environment.

There was a great turnout of people, lots of support for LAYN and there were a couple of bracelets on the table to the nights winners for entries into World Series of Poker tournaments. It’s always nice to give back, and there were a lot of people committed to this Saturday night.

Some more pics and info about LAYN after the jump.
