World Cup Qualification Play-Off Dates Set

The dates have been set for the 2010 World Cup Qualification Play-Off matches between New Zealand vs the 5th place Asia Qualifier ( Saturday 10 October and Saturday 14 November 2009) and the 5th place South American Qualifier vs 4th place North, Central and Caribbean Qualifier (Saturday 14 and Wednesday 18 November 2009) with home and away distinction sorted on June 2, 2009 during the FIFA Congress in the Bahamas.

No Chance for Darren Fletcher Appeal

Yorke’s Suspension Cut In Half By FIFA

After initially handing down a Four game suspension and $4,200 fine to Trinidad & Tobago Captain Dwight Yorke, FIFA’s disciplinary committee in Zurich decided to halve the 37 year old’s suspension to two matches following the T&T Football Federation’s successful appeal.
