Bob Marley Soccer

Bob Marley is one of our favorite artists of all time, and one of the coolest soccer players of all time.  Martin Scorcese is one of our favorite directors and a legend in the movie making business.   What do they have in common you ask?  Well Scorcese is making a documentary about the legendary Rastafarian and footie fan.  No details on a planned release date, but this is one we will keep an eye on and keep you informed as details get released.  In the meantime, turn your speaker up, sit back and enjoy the clip below.  If you weren’t aware, his 65th birthday just past on Feb 10th.

2008 Lambo Reventon

The guys over at BallerHouse tossed this 2008 Lamborghini Reventon up today after Dupont Registry had it listed for the low, low price of $750k with only 10 miles on it.  I’m a huge fan of gun metal grey (or Grigio as the fine wine people like to refer to it as), especially sinec Rob Dyrdek from Rob & Big threw his SUV down in the same color, but this takes it to an all new level.  I was telling Ben last week that I couldn’t imagine spending that kind of dough and his response was if you could, you would.  I’m starting to believe him now.

Strike Cost LA $2 Billion!

Hollywood Sign

This morning on the train I was reading about the writer’s strike and how it is about to be fanut. Apparently Peter Chernin (head of Fox) and Robert Iger (head of Disney) got involved and finally were able to get this things put to bed. After reading this in the LA Times, I decided to do a bit more digging and see how much this strike has cost the local economy. I have a lot of friends in the entertainment business and in businesses thathave been affected by this thing. So I stumble across this article in the Hollywood Reporter, and it says the strike cost the Los Angeles economy an estimated $2 billion smackaroos! That is some serious coin! Not sure if the writer’s got what they were looking for, but I hope it was at least worth it for them.

If you’ve seen the previews for this then you’ll know it looks pretty damn funny.  Let’s just hope all the funny parts aren’t just in the commercials.

The dangers of drinking and escalator sliding

This Hollywood & Highland Center, where the Academy Awards are held, was the scene of a very horrific accident Saturday night. A man who had been drinking quite heavily according to friends, tried to slide down the escalator like he’d seen on the internet. The attempt didn’t turn out quite the way he or his friends had hoped, falling several stories head first onto another set of escalators where he was pronounced dead. Moral of the story, don’t do stupid ass shit kids. Not worth it.
