Things are heating up…

Houston Mayor White is asking Harris County to pitch in $10 million dollars to help drive a Dynamo stadium proposal as part of an economic stimulus package for the eastern part of downtown H-town. This article includes an interesting video. Dynamo CEO Oliver Luck describes the negotiations as “very positive. A lot of different pieces are falling into place.”

Who will be the person responsible for officially bringing this issue up at the Harris County Board of Commissioners upcoming meeting? Harris County Commissioner, Sylvia Garcia. She and the Houston Dynamo have a bit of history

Not much new on the idea of the Dynamo sharing the stadium with TSU Football. The University of Houston is loving the rent they’re receiving from AEG, and now UH wants the Dynamo to stay permanently at Robertson Stadium. This seems doubtful at this stage of the game…

A Houston Hyatt Room With A View - Take 3

Filed under: Houston Dynamo, Real Madrid, Real Salt Lake, Valencia

Houston Hotel Room View2

Got in around 9pm, headed over to Cabo’s for a couple fish tacos and went straight to bed.

Woke up and hit the gym at 7.30am to get a little work out in before sitting in front of my miniature television watching Argentina v Holland. Production meetings at 9.30am, so I think I’m going to miss the end of the second half.

Real Salt Lake at Houston tonight in a battle for 1st place in the West and then back to bed before a 5.30am flight to get back to Los Angeles for tomorrow afternoon’s Spanish Super Cup (think Spanish Community Shield) between La Liga winner Real Madrid and King’s Cup (Copa del Rey) winner Valencia at 1 pm West Coast.

RSF’s View From The Fort

Filed under: Houston Dynamo, NE Revs, SuperLiga, Supporters

Big thanks to RSF who sent in his own view from behind Matt Reis’ goal as Houston’s Corey Ashe hit the crossbar to give the Revolution the 2008 SuperLiga title.

If you’ve been to a Revs game and have never experienced this group of supporters before, highly suggest it.

Check this video after the Jump when Revs supporters headed down I-95…

Columbus Crew At Houston Dynamo Highlights

Filed under: Columbus Crew, Highlights, Houston Dynamo, Videos

Watch out for the Houston Dynamo. Just when everyone was writing them off two months ago, they’ve sorted themselves out and made a nice little run.

Great finish by Brad Davis for the opening goal and a cheeky little layoff by Nate Jaqua for Brian Ching to finish.

An All American Affair

Filed under: Houston Dynamo, NE Revs, SuperLiga

superliga-2008

Last night itwas the Houston Dynamo who triumphed over their Mexican rivals Pachuca to earn themselves a spot in the Superliga Finals. Tonight it was the New England Revolution’s turn as they ensured an all American final by beating Atlante 1-0 in their semi final match. I’m loving this…
