Pearson Will Open 2nd Stint at Hull City With Transfer Probe

Adam Pearson returns as chairman of the troubled club on Monday and his first objective will be to analyse all the deals that were authorised by Paul Duffen , whose term as chairman and chief executive ended on Wednesday amid serious concerns
over Hull’s financial crisis.
Pearson stepped down as chairman at Derby County on Wednesday night to go back to a club he rescued from administration in 2001 before then selling it for £12million in June 2007 to a consortium led by Duffen and financed by property tycoon Russell Bartlett.
When Pearson left Hull, who by then were in the Championship, there was around £1m in the bank and a relatively modest wage bill of £3.5m. Little more than two years later and Hull are saddled with debts of £27m and an astonishing wage bill of £40m — ranking them among the highest payers in the Barclays Premier League and leaving them facing financial meltdown if the season ends in relegation. Hull City Chairman Paul Duffen Stepping Down, Adam Pearson to Return?
Filed under: Hull CityHull City chairman Paul Duffen has resigned, as former Derby chairman Adam Pearson readies himself to return to the KC Stadium. Pearson was chiefly credited with turning round the fortunes of the Tigers during his first spell as chairman, is poised to return after Duffen’s exit having left Pride Park on Wednesday.
A statement on the Hull City website read: ”The Club has received a letter of resignation from Paul Duffen, Executive Chairman of Hull City AFC and Superstadium Management Company Ltd, which has been accepted and is effective immediately. Paul’s departure is on a totally amicable basis and he leaves with our best wishes as a friend of the Club and its Directors. (more…)
Hull City Accountants Warn Club Over Finances

Hull City’s accountants have warned that the club will need to raise £23 million in order to balance the books should they suffer relegation from the top flight this season. A report from accounts Deloitte, which was filed five months late, largely addresses the club’s finances from their promotion campaign in 2007-08 but also advises the Tigers as to how to manage their financial situation in the months ahead. Fulham 2 - 0 Hull City, English Premier League Highlights

Zamora struck his second Premier League goal of the season before setting up a second for strike partner Diomansy Kamara as Fulham climbed to 12th in the table.

Jimmy Bullard Set For Return From ACL Injury
