OCNN - OchoCinco News Network is coming…

Cincinnati Bengals receiver, Chad Ochocinco, is planning to form his own social news network on Twitter, using his player contacts around the league to develop news about other teams. The idea grew out of his partnership with Motorola, which will provide the technology. He’s dubbed the venture OCNN, for the Ochocinco News Network. He will try to compete with mainstream media to tell fans what’s going on with NFL teams.

He’s even got a slogan.

“If I break it, you might as well believe it,” Ochocinco told The Associated Press in a phone interview. (more…)

Will You Pay For Hulu? You May have to in 2010

Hulu, the free online video site where television shows and movies can be watched in their entirety, will start charging fees at some point, one of its owners said.

Hulu has struggled to make money despite its popularity as an ad-supported site. News Corp., which co-owns the site with NBC Universal, Walt Disney Co. and Providence Equity Partners, said it hasn’t decided what form the subscription model would take. (more…)

USPS is having problems

The internet is taking down another one. The postmaster general is up on capital hill asking congress for some help. Let me see, car wash coupons, grocery specials, magazines. Thats what I get and thats all I need in the mail anymore … and that can all be delivered once a week. I love the idea of getting rid of Monday or Tuesday delivery.

Massive deficits could force the post office to cut out one day of mail delivery per week, the postmaster general told Congress on today. Postmaster General John E. Potter asked lawmakers to lift the requirement that the agency deliver mail six days a week. (more…)
