Jose Mourinho’s First Signing Is….

Filed under: Inter Milan, Jose Mourinho, Roma

Amantino Mancini

Alessandro Faiolhe Amantino Mancini or better know as just Mancini is on his way to Inter after the Special One paid just over 12.5 Million Euro for the 27 year old.

The Brazilian flourished under both Fabio Capello and Luciano Spaletti at Roma due to Mancini’s positional versatility that can see him as a right back, right midfielder, winger or creative midfielder.

Mancini scored 40 goals in 150 Serie A matches while representing Brazil 12 times between 1999-2004.

Mourinho and Lamps To Reunite?

Filed under: FC Uptown, Frank Lampard, Jose Mourinho

Update- Word around the campfire is Lampard and Inter have agreed personal terms, and a transfer value of around £7m has been agreed between Inter and Chelsea. Looks like Lamps and the Special One will be reuniting in Milan.

Frank Lampard Beach

You’ve got to give it to Jose Mourinho.  The guy knows how to wiggle.

“I cannot forget Deco, Lampard and Drogba. These are players who I could never say no to. I would love to work with them again in the future, but I am not too obsessed with this idea. I don’t know which of these three will leave their clubs but we will see.”

Ricardo Carvalho

While Cristiano Ronaldo is holing up in the Portuguese camp, Ricardo Carvalho is an open book and letting everyone know his intentions.

Carvalho has publicly admitted his desire to reunite with his gaffer, Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan and has decided to hold talks with Chelsea’s Peter Kenyon over his future at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea paid 19.85 Million Pound to Porto for Carvalho’s services back in 2004 after winning the Champions League under Mourinho.

The Special One…No Longer Special…

Filed under: Inter Milan, Jose Mourinho

jose-mourinho-the-special-one

Jose Mourinho was unveiled as the new Inter boss and he told Italian journalists that he is a great coach, but that he no longer wants to be special. Once you have that title you just can’t give it back, especially when you gave it to yourself. It doesn’t work that way. Embrace it Jose! If he is no longer special, is he still fantastic? I feel like I don’t even know who you are anymore Jose!

Mourinho Klar For Inter With Deco And Lampard On The Way?

Filed under: Frank Lampard, Inter Milan, Jose Mourinho

DOUBLE UPDATEThose pesky Swedes at the Aftonbladet were right last week!

Mourinho klar for Inter.

UPDATE - Roberto Mancini’s agent has confirmed that the Italian legend HAS left Inter Milan. Take a look near the bottom of the article confirming Jose Mourinho’s arrival in Milan and the announcement set for tomorrow.

My question is how can Inter President Massimo Moratti part ways with Mancini after only a 25 minute meeting? Sounds like this was lined up for a decent amount of time.

Jose Mourinho

The largest newspaper in Sweden (Aftonbladet) is reporting that Jose Mourinho has signed with Inter Milan to be their new coach and he’s taking Deco and Frank Lampard with him.

They say the three year contract is worth over $11 million and he should be presented to the press this afternoon.

“I Want to Kill Chelsea”

Filed under: Champions League, Chelsea, Jose Mourinho, Roman Abramovich

Jose Mourinho

I sure do miss the Special One, AKA Jose Mourinho. In an article that came out in the Guardian, the Portugeezer refers to Chelsea and states that “If I play them in the Champions League, I want to go there and kill them - that’s my message.” Yikes! That’s some heavy talk my man. Although he goes on to say that he has love for the club, and he’s still down with Roman (my personal favorite Russian oligarch / gagillionaire) and Peter Kenyon, there clearly seems to be some juvenile “you broke up with me so I’m going to talk behind your back” type of thing going on. I guess that’s understandable and all. If I was one of the most successful managers in the world and I got replaced by some dude who doesn’t even have his qualifications to be a manager in England, I might be hot and hold some contempt too. I’m just saying…
