Really the best news about MLS these days is in the business pages. This article gives more detail on the developments in Kansas City and their new stadium and mixed use development. Considering the wobbly credit markets and real estate slump it is interesting that so many of these projects are full steam ahead…
Pumping New Life Into the Triangle
Lane4 Property Group has embarked on an ambitious $1.1 billion plan to establish a vibrant mixed-use development in an underserved and blighted area of Kansas City.
The Trails in Kansas City is a mixed-use project that will include two office parks, retail and a soccer stadium for the Kansas City Wizards. It is still in a nascent stage, but numerous public and private entities have supported the development.
“This is the biggest project any of us ever have and probably ever will work on,” says Owen Buckley, president of Lane4 Property Group in Kansas City. “I think it will succeed because there is a lot of room for growth in this area and we want to supply a product that is not very common in Kansas City.”

Watch out for the Earthquakes…. Tied for 4th place with the LA Galaxy in the Western Conference and only 7 points behind the Houston Dynamo for first place.

I’ll ask it again, should Luciano Emilio be fast tracked for US citizenship?
You gotta think this game feels like a loss in the Columbus locker room after coming back from giving up 2 goals in the first 20 minutes and heading into halftime with a 3-2 lead.
Entertaining game though and the Nordecke was killing it again.
Good to see Josh Wolff get his name on the scorers sheet in his first game back with Kansas City.
This was the view from the perch about an hour before we went live for our Pre-game show.
