Highlights: LA Galaxy at Columbus Crew

I was talking to our boyhttp://www.theoffsiderules.blogspot.com/ today and we bring up the LA Galaxy v DC United game this weekend. Huge game for both teams, but the pressure that must be on the Galaxy to start winning games has to be huge. Winless since mid-June and on 26 points after 24 games is a bad place to be in. With that in mind, they are only five points adrift of second place Real Salt Lake so this game is huge for them. As for DC, they are hanging on to a playoff spot at the moment, so every point is vital for them as well. With so much at stake for both teams, and both teams needing all three points, this could definitely be a fun one. Check this one out Saturday night at 8pm PST on Fox Soccer Channel.
This is what delirious looks like. Rogo and I had a 4am call time for yesterday’s North Korea v South Korea World Cup Qualifier that was played in Shanghai because of North Korea’s refusal to allow the South Korean flag into the stadium and their refusal to play the South Korea National Anthem. FIFA had to step in and relocate the game.
After the game Rogo and I headed down to the Home Depot Center and the LA Galaxy practice where Rogo got put through his paces by my former New England Revolution teammate and current Galaxy goalie coach Ian Feuer.
Then it was a little interview with the LA keepers and Josh Wicks for Fox Sports Net West.
For a day Rogo got to re-live his D1 San Diego State days back in the 90’s.
Then it was back to the FSC studios for the Australia at Uzbekistan World Cup Qualifier at 2.30pm.
Started off the day at the FSC studios with my boy Mark Rogondino.
Rogo and I were doing the Iran at Saudi Arabia World Cup Qualifier.
Then made my way down the 405 to the Home Depot Center.
Walking out to the field.

T-Fitz and John Koluder getting ready to do the radio side of things for RSL.
Backdrop for when Bill Riley and I are on stand up.
Game time.
This will be one of the more interesting matches to keep on eye on this weekend.
New coach, new addition of Eddie Lewis, first match under The Bruce with a full squad and having to travel all the way to the East Coast.
And for New England, a team that was in Toronto last weekend, Trinidad / Tobago just two days later and then all the way back to Boston…
