Kosovo born - Switzerland representing Valon Behrami has made the move to the Premiership after Lazio accepted a 5 Million Pound move to West Ham for the 23 year old.

A player with an amazing engine that gets up and down the flank, Behrami was a consistent figure on the right side for Lazio either at right mid or as an overlapping right back and that’s exactly what Alan Curbishley forsees at Upton Park.

Behrami started and played every minute in Switzerland’s 2008 Euro campaign and has signed a 5 year deal with the East London based club.  And don’t forget, he’s got Champions League experience that can hopefully help a squad that finished 10th last season in the 2007/08 Premiership table.

I just came across this story on SI that says seven people have been arrested in a crackdown on an organized crime group that tried to buy Lazio football club with laundered money. What?! What is even crazier is that apparently former Lazio and New York Cosmos striker Giorgio Chinaglia is being sought as well and that he has been on the lam.

Italian Newspaper Il Messaggero has revealed that Ousmane Dabo (the guy that got knocked the uck out by Debo, I mean Joey Barton) has signed on for the minimum wage contract set by Lazio.  After his move away from Barton and Manchester City, the Frenchman headed back to his favorite club on a 22,000 pound contract that is set to expire in June.

Ouch.  Not only does you ego go out the window with such a public fight on display, but for a guy who’s played at Inter, Parma and Monaco, 2007 must have been a tough pill to swallow.
