FIFA Suspends Marquez For Two Matches

FIFA headquarters in Switzerland have announced suspensions of Mexico Captain Rafa Marquez and Assistant Coach Francisco Ramirez for TWO matches following their actions during and after the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifier in Columbus on February 11th, which includes their upcoming Qualifiers against Costa Rica at home and Honduras on the road April 1st.

Guillermo Cantu, the man in charge of the Mexican National Teams has resigned from his post and publicly taken full responsibility following the U - 20’s failure to qualify for the U - 20 World Cup, the U - 17’s failure to qualify for the 2007 World Cup following their win in 2005 and most notably, the U - 23’s failure to qualify for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
