Post Match Locker Room Interview With Michael Bradley

It’s great to see his teammates messing with him throughout the course of the “Interview” inside the locker room because it’s a huge indicator of the respect they have for him.

Thanks to Charles for the heads up….

Michael Bradley completed his deal to newly promoted German side Borussia Monchengladbach today. Interesting move for Bradley, and one that I didn’t really see coming. Terms of the deal have not been made public.

Aston Villa in for Frankie Simek

Filed under: Aston Villa, Jozy Altidore, Michael Bradley, Transfer News

According to reports out of England, Aston Villa boss Martin O’Neill is trying to lure American Frankie Simek away from Sheffield Wednesday. He has already had a £2m bid turned down by the Owls, and it looks like Villa will need to double that offer to pry Frankie away from Sheffield Wednesday. With Jozy recently being sold for $10 million, Frankie being valued at $8 million, and reports of Monaco splashing some serious scratch for Michael Bradley, this is shaping up to be a great summer for American players in the transfer market.

German Players Hold Private Meetings

Germany

German Captain Micheal Ballack has admitted to the press that the German players had a private, no coaches team meeting that they felt was necessary to “clear the air”.

After putting in a good 2-nil win over Poland in their opening match, Germany fell to Croatia 2-1 in a match that left them in trouble and fighting to get out of Group B.

Anytime a team decides to have this type of meeting I can tell you there’s trouble brewing.  If the team felt confident about where they were in the big scheme of things, a loss to Croatia wouldn’t be the straw broken to force themselves into a meeting like that ahead of their final game against Austria.

And why would Ballack admit this to the press at this point in the campaign?

Middlesbrough In For Bradley?

Filed under: Michael Bradley, Middlesbrough, Rumors

UPDATE - Great read about Bradley from FIFA’s website.

That’s a lot of respect being shown to the young, 20 year old.

Michael Bradley

Reports coming out of Holland are claiming the Premiership side Middlesbrough have contacted Eredvisie club Heerenveen about acquiring Michael Bradley.

If you’re keeping track, that’s Everton, Blackburn, Aston Villa and Sunderland all linked to Bradley within the last week.

After Jozy Altidore’s amazing transfer to La Liga’s Villareal (as reported by Ives), it seems like young American’s are finally getting a bit more respect in the dollar category worldwide.

Newcastle In For Altidore and Bradley

Filed under: Jozy Altidore, Michael Bradley, Newcastle

jozy-altidore

According to The Sun (take it for what it is), Kevin Keegan is interested in pulling off the great American sweep by landing two of our most promising young players. The Newcastle boss allegedly is trying to swoop in and sign Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley. Newcastle have had tons of problems in recent years, but with Keegan looking like he is getting things sorted, I wonder if this WAS to happen, if it would be a good move for the young Americans. Jozy getting to play with Michael Owen, and Michael Bradley learning from a seasoned pro like Nicky Butt…could be a great way to continue their development. I don’t know if I would co-sign on this one yet, but it definitely sounds interesting.

Michael Bradley

US National Team, Olympic Team and Heerenveen star Michael Bradley was out at Chivas USA training this morning, getting in a session to stay sharp and fit.

With the England match just around the corner, it looks like the Eredivisie standout is doing exactly what David Beckham did when training with Arsenal. Just getting a run in. Nothing more, nothing less.
