Biggie Biopic, Extended Trailer

We showed you the first Notorious trailer about a month ago and here is the extended version released last night. Some really good casting choices, and some really questionable ones. It looks like they might be trying to tell too many stories in one flick, but we will definitely be checking it out in January next year.

Movie Posters

planet-of-the-apes

I love movie posters, especially ones that use the medium as more than just a promotional avenue for the film. There are plenty of posters that have transcended the movie and become cultural staples for decades (Scarface and The Godfather come to mind). Today I came across an article over at Smashing Magazine called 50 Beautiful Movie Posters. Some really cool posters that they have picked out…some from iconic films, and others from films I haven’t even heard of. I don’t know that I agree with all of their picks, but  they did find some amazing posters. I think my favorite though might be this poster from Planet of the Apes. Check out more posters after the jump.

Last night I headed out to Grauman’s Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd with the two Laura’s for the ScreamFest Horror Film Festival and the Premiere of the movie Splinter, directed by Toby Wilkins and starring Paulo Costazno and Jill Wagner (who we were the guests of).

Peep the Official Trailer at IMDB.

I’m a huge fan of the Horror genre and thought that Toby Wilkins was able to bring back the feel of the Horror movies of my youth, the physicality of impending death and not the generated bad guys that we’ve seen as of late. But very good movie overall and if you get the chance, check it out.

It was the first time I’d been to the famous Chinese theater and if you ever have the opportunity to catch a movie there, the feel of Hollywood history is dripping from the walls.

Pride and Glory trailer

Filed under: Colin Farrell, Hollywood, Movies, Trailers

Wow, how was this off of the Radar until now… Maybe Ed Norton and Colin Farrell can do in Pride and Glory what Al Pacino and Robert DiNiro could do earlier this summer in Righteous Kill.
