From Q Tips 2008 album The Renaissance, this song and video was a great way to start off Tuesday. Sometimes collabs between artists don’t work particularly well or are just blah…but this one worked out very well. Norah Jones doesn’t get down on too many hip hop tracks, which kind of makes this even better. Enjoy.
Love Over Gold by Dire Straits is a beautiful song that I have been listening to for the past few weeks. This is a song that I really connect to. It teaches me important lessons about life. The song talks about what all the great ones do. They “walk out on the high wire, they are dancers on thin ice, they pay no heed to the danger, they throw their caution to the wind, and they go dancing through doorways just to see what they will find.” This song reminds me a lot of Messi. He knows there is danger when he is flying at defenders, but he does not care. We all have to take chances to succeed. We all have to “dance through doorways, just to see what we will find.” As a footballer and as a person in life, I am going to remember this song throughout all of my days and try to live by what this song says. Watch this video and listen to the lyrics and you will see what I am talking about. On another note, I love Dire Straits and I think you guys should check out some of their music.

Surprise, Surprise … From the LA Times:
Kanye West’s duo-headlining tour with Lady Gaga has been canceled, concert promoter Live Nation announced Thursday afternoon. The “Fame Kills” trek was to have hit Anaheim on Nov. 15 and Los Angeles on Nov. 16. There was no reason given for the cancellation, and zero indication that the tour dates would be rescheduled.
A Live Nation press release offered few details. “Live Nation announced today that the Kanye West and Lady Gaga ‘Fame Kills’ tour has been cancelled. Refunds are available at the point of purchase. Tickets purchased online and via phone will be refunded automatically.” (more…)
