Nike Sportswear Dunk High AC TZ Netherlands

Filed under: Holland, Nike, World Cup

I posted about the tonal grey Nike Dunk Hi AC TZ a little earlier. Then I find this “oranje” pair that are called the Netherlands. This might be the first sneaker drop that is playing off the upcoming 2010 World Cup. Trust me when I say there are going to be a lot of sneakers and other products that will be released using the World Cup as a selling point. But I’m not mad at these. I think Nike should give these to the squad. Be kind of fresh to see a team rocking Dunks that was inspired by their country / national team.

Nike Dunk Hi AC TZ - Shades of Grey

nike-dunk-tonal

I’ve been on a grey kick recently. Tonal greys, black and grey, etc have caught my eye and peeked my interest. So these new Dunks from Nike are right up my alley. They look to be canvas which isn’t always the best look going into fall and winter, but the subtle color combo works really well for me right now. Kind of a welcome break from lots of loud colorways that I have been seeing the last few months.

Nike dunks have got to be one of the most versatile sneaker in the game. First released to match the colors of select college basketball teams, the Dunk has gone on to become a superstar in it’s own right. To mark the beginning of back to school and this classic sneaker, Complex put together a list of their top 50 Nike Dunks of all time. German football club St. Pauli FC comes in at number 28 with their limited release version. Whether you agree with this list or not, it’s worth a look.

#todayskicks

todayskicks

My boy Jacy up at Nike has a similar soft spot for sneakers just like me. He also has been known to participate in the #todayskicks on Twitter, which I have yet to jump in on. I check all the twitpics everyone puts up of their kicks from that day, but have never posted my own for some reason.  That stops here and now.

Today the mailman drops off a package for me from Nike, and inside are the Air Max’s you see above. So I’m going to jump in on my first #todayskicks with these Air Max’s in this OG colorway. I’m officially in the game now!

Thanks for the kicks fam.
