Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 Test Drive

Today was one of those days where I felt like I got to see behind the curtain. I got invited down to Konami headquarters to give the new Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 a test drive. Apparently I was the first person on the west coast who had the honor of playing the game and seeing what is on deck for PES 2010.

I played a couple games, and I’ll admit that although I wasn’t lighting things up, I did go undefeated with a record of 1-0-1. The game is incredible, especially when we played in full HD. The graphics jumped, game play was on point and the options that are included in this version are endless. Unfortunately I couldn’t take any pictures of the actual game while we were playing, but trust me when I say this game is incredible.

The game is slated to drop early November, so definitely keep an eye out for it. Thanks BC and Tim for letting me in the batcave and taking PES 2010 for a spin.

Our boy BC from Konami hit us off with some more screen shots from the soon to be released Pro Evolution Soccer 2010. I meant to get these up sooner…my bad. Screen caps look sick, and from what I am hearing, this game is off the chain. He also sent us a new trailer for the game, so we’ll work on getting that up on here later. In the meantime, hit the jump for some more pictures.

Our boy at Konami hipped us to this first screenshot from Pro Evolution Soccer 2010. In addition to the screenshot, here is a little bit about the game.

…”People will also witness firsthand an all new dynamic lighting system, where shadows are cast in real time, creating a photo-realistic look.”

“The PES production team has created a lifelike representation of the pace and skill of top level soccer.”

“To further the realistic gaming experience, Konami implemented an all new tactical system called “Power-Gauge”, which features an easy to use sliding bar system with several categories; half for  defense, and the other half for attacking play. Each category allows users to easily change their overall style of play, and adopt strategies related to support for the player in possession, how often players change position, and the pressure put on the opposition when they have the ball.”

From everything that I have read this game looks and sounds like it is going to be pretty amazing. The game is slated to drop in Fall 2009, and I feel like we should have some sort of tournament / party when the game drops.

We’ll have the trailer up later today.
