FIFA Suspends Marquez For Two Matches

FIFA headquarters in Switzerland have announced suspensions of Mexico Captain Rafa Marquez and Assistant Coach Francisco Ramirez for TWO matches following their actions during and after the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifier in Columbus on February 11th, which includes their upcoming Qualifiers against Costa Rica at home and Honduras on the road April 1st.

Mexico Captain Rafa Marquez has been ruled out for at least two weeks after suffering a muscle problem during Barcelona’s 0 - 0 Copa del Rey first leg draw against Espanyol, making him a major doubt to the upcoming U.S. vs Mexico Qualifier in Columbus.

FC Barcelona Pre-Season Testing

It was the first day of pre-season for Barcelona yesterday (as most players think it’s the worst day of the season) as the big timers had to go through their standard physicals, medical testing and fitness drills.

Anyone else notice Rafa Marquez seemed to have a little bit more bounce to his step after winning the cool Million in Houston last week at the Free Kick Masters 2008?
