Hide your animals and small children, the legend of Chupacabra has resurfaced. Hairless coyote or some weird creature that might end up being the allusive and mythical Chupacabra, I have no idea. But that is one odd looking animal. I do know that if I would not want to stumble across this beast late at night. I keep hearing people say how sad they are that summer is over. I get it, summer is fun, girls wear summer dresses and the attitude and vibe are just more laid back. But this LA heat is no joke. Almost 110 degrees each of the last few days has my summer patience running dangerously low. And if one more person tells me “well at least it’s a dry heat”…

Oh and by the way, my dude in the picture is over it too. Paging fall, please pick up the courtesy phone…

I’ve been in the process of moving this past week, which everyone knows is a pain. As I was packing up things I found a couple pairs of shin guards. They are these tiny little pieces of plastic that cover about three inches of shin. Which inevitably led me to think back to the days of when shin guards protected the entire lower leg region. I’m talking shins, ankles, top of feet, etc. See picture above for reference.

I find a lot, I mean a lot of random things on the Interwebs. I don’t share 90% of them as it would be way too much to post. I have a folder I save all this random ish in, pictures tucked away neatly for me to look at and laugh, ponder or get inspired by. Now feels like a good time to start breaking some of these pictures out and sharing them. I’ll start with this chair. I have no info on it, don’t know who makes it or where it comes from. All I know is it can be found in the Hotel Fasano de Rio de Janeiro and it looks super inviting.  Not only does this chair scream “sit on me,” but if you had this in the crib, it would be the ultimate conversation starter everytime somebody came over.  This chair is part furniture, part art piece, and I need one in my life.

First off, I’m pretty sure if you want to run any sort of campaign to get people’s attention, that this type of picture is a good way to start.  Secondly, apparently Alicia Silverstone likes to garden in the nude…

This video was shot over a couple of hours and shows the sway that is involved with the Manhattan Bridge. Apparently the major sway occurs due to subways and is helping to jump start the conversation about the safety of bridges in the US. Head to Sky Dog Projects for more info.
