As Dunny mentioned, we went down and saw Ronnie Renner break the record for jumping a motorcycle on Friday, and then on Saturday we went and caught up with a bunch of friends at the ADICUP. Two really great events pulled off by two companies that know how to represent.

Pictures from both events are after the jump. (more…)

UPDATE -  Just a little look at what The Wifey, Beans and I saw Friday.

Wait until you see the new Red Bull Cola and the little extras they put into bringing it out to the public.

The Wifey, Beans, Ace and myself are heading down to the Santa Monica Pier tonight as our boy Josh Greenberg and Red Bull have put together another Red Bull Experiment, this time with Ronnie Renner trying to break the highest air ever attained by a motorcycle.

First Man In Space - Joseph Kittinger

Filed under: Cool Ish, Red Bull, Videos

 via Youtube

On August 16, 1960, Joseph Kittinger jumped his last Excelsior jump, doing so from an air-thin height of 102,800 feet (31,334 meters). From that nearly 20 miles altitude, his tumble toward terra firma took some 4 minutes and 36 seconds. Exceeding the speed of sound during the fall, Kittinger used a small stabilizing chute before a larger, main parachute opened in the denser atmosphere. He safely touched down in barren New Mexico desert, 13 minutes 45 seconds after he vaulted into the void.

The jump set records that still stand today, among them, the highest parachute jump, the longest freefall, and the fastest speed ever attained by a human through the atmosphere. Somewhat in contention is Kittinger’s use of the small parachute for stabilization during his record-setting fall.

Kanye West

I got a call from our boy Josh over at Red Bull on Saturday inviting us down to the Kanye West  show at The Staples Center. So Ace and I headed down and were able to see one of the most talked about and hyped concerts I can remember hearing about in a long time.

With so much hype and praise that I had heard leading up to this show, it was hard to go in open minded. But the show did not disappoint. Kanye puts all of himself into the show and you can tell how important this is too him. He gets hated on for his cockiness, but the dude wants to be the best that ever lived, and I can’t fault him for that. Why not strive for greatness?

One of the things about the whole experience that stood out to me, aside from the performances, was the crowd. I have been to a ton of concerts in my life, and I’m not sure if I have ever been to one with such a diverse and hip crowd. It seemed to me that people from every race, color, culture etc was representing at the show, and that is a statement as to how powerful music can be.  Hats off to Kanye, Lupe, N.E.R.D. and Rihanna for a great show and big thanks to Josh and Red Bull for inviting us down to the suite for this one!

BP x Red Bull

Delivery day finally came. We had been talking about how we had a delivery of shirts that was due on Saturday, and luckily everything turned out great. There was very little time to spare, but as often happens, things got finished at the last minute, but the outcome was a big success.

Read more and see more pictures after the jump.
