In news that is not going to come a a surprise to anyone, Juan Carlos is no longer the head coach of Red Bull NY. The result was inevitable, but how he went out was up in the air. In the end, he chose to resign instead of get let go. Richie Williams will step in for the second time as interim head coach. Question is, with the resources Red Bull has, do they go big and try to bring in a big name foreign coach, or have MLS teams realized that that experiment has yet to be successful and go with someone who knows the league, rules and players?
After making it to MLS Cup last year, Red Bull NY is having a dismal season this year. There have been lots of questions asked about the security and safety of Juan Carlos Osorio and Jeff Agoos’ jobs. According to this story, RBNY anf their overlords in Austria are looking to make some big changes to right the ship. Besides the team’s poor record, it’s also being reported that the teams fan base is dwindling. All this happening the year before RBNY steps into their brand new $250 million stadium is not a good look for the club. Looks like things will be getting interesting over at RBNY headquarters.
Hartman and Wolff are playing crazy for KC, and Angel and the new addition Kandji are heating up for the Red Bulls. Plus, there is just something fun about watching games from that little CommunityAmerica ballpark.
Macoumba Kandji talks about his goal dance, the “Stanky Leg”.

The final piece of structural steel is put into place at Red Bull Arena on Tuesday, April 14, 2009.
Despite internet rumors, sources tell the NY Post that the New York Red Bulls are NOT for sale.
BTW, there will be a ceremony tomorrow in Hoboken marking the last piece of steel being installed at Red Bull Arena.
