Beckham’s first Red Card in MLS play… Deserved?
Wait for it… Wait for it… Yup, there’s the elbow.
Even though the decision to send Darren Fletcher off in yesterday’s Champions League semi-final seemed incredibly harsh, UEFA is saying that there is no chance of the red card being overturned.
After receiving an official appeal from Chelsea following the sending off of Frank Lampard following the midfielders lunging 50 - 50 tackle on Xabi Alonso at the weekend, reports coming out of England are claiming that Riley might be admitting he was wrong. As you may have heard last night was Real’s first game in the new Rio Tinto Stadium. I treated my Father and a local lovely to a night by the pitch. My hat is off to the cats that made their vision a reality. I think this going to be great for the local community and the MLS league all together.
Thanks to our friends over at Co-Ed Magazine, we here at The Original Winger can get the word out about the dangers of Beer Pong.
Unprotected beer pong play is the cause of a significant increase in the transmission of herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1), which causes cold sores. According to the Center for Disease Control, reports of the virus are up 230-percent from 2007 in people ages 17 to 21, and it’s all from sharing cups. Because of the dramatic increase in the illness, universities and parents are beginning to take notice.
I was thinking about Drogba’s Red Card during my flight from Dallas to LAX on Sunday and it got my thinking.
We see so many times during huge matches (Zidane anyone) players lose their cool in a split second. Hell, even I got a Red Card for retaliation during the 2000 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Hershey.
Why though? Is it because the players want it so badly? What do you think?
Did Drogba deserve to be sent off?
