Kurt Cobain born February 20, 1967, died at 27 would be 42

For me… words like “Legend,” and “Great,” and “Genius,” get thrown around waaaaaay too easily, but in some cases its well deserved. Bands come and go, singers and songwriters come and go, but some of them stay with us for a long long time. Kurt Cobain was one of these individuals, for me. He didn’t save the world, he didn’t come up with a cure for cancer, but he touched a lot of people in the short time that he was on this planet. (more…)

RIP - Boca President Pedro Pompilio

Pedro Pompilio

One of the most successful Presidents in the history of Argentine and Boca Juniors football, Pedro Pompilio has passed away late last week of a heart attack at the age of 55.

Pompilio, who had been with the club’s administration / business from the early 1980’s and served as Vice - President from 1995 - 2007 before taking over as President in December of last year, was instrumental in Juan Roman Requelme’s return and the hiring of head coach Carlos Ischia.

DJ AM x Travis Barker ***Update***

E Online is reporting that Travis Barker has been discharged from the Grossman Burn Center in Sherman Oaks, Ca earlier today. He will be continuing treatment at home where he is expected to make a full recovery. AM was out the other day doing what he does… Getting love on stage at the Palladium’s re-oping show Starring Jay Z. Below AM is throwing the fist up! Even though he is probably still in some pain, he is trying to move on a little bit and get back to life as normal. I hear the show was hott by the way, a boy of mine was in attendance and said it was craaazeee!

Paul Newman 1925-2008

Paul Newman, the legendary movie star and irreverent cultural icon who created a model philanthropy fueled by profits from a salad dressing that became nearly as famous as he was, has died. He was 83.

Newman died Friday at his home near Westport, Conn., after a long battle with cancer, publicist Jeff Sanderson said.
