Super Mario’s brother and I started our adventure to the Monolith Festival last night leaving the SLC nearing the late local news. Had a little stop at the Little America Wyoming for a little midnight snack. Our server was a young chap from Turkey who played for the national team for a couple of years and happened to know Dunny from the tube. Cheyenne was a short pit-stop to rest the eyes before taking off to Denver this morning.

This afternoon we checked into our hotel and scoped out the festival area. Cut/Copy is first on our list and they hit the stage at 4:30. The rest of tonights line-up includes Del the Funky Homosapien, Vampire Weekend, Silversun Pickups, The Presets, and topping off the first day is Atmosphere.

ethan-zohn

Ethan Zohn has just kicked off his trek to raise money and awareness for HIV/AIDS in Africa. Our girl Anne just sent us the following information about this trip.

Ethan Zohn, kicked off a 3-month, 550 mile journey of alifetime yesterday evening. In the name of Grassroots Soccer UNITED, Ethan will be traveling from Boston to Washington DC on foot and dribbling a soccer ball the entire distance. The first-ever Grassroots Soccer UNITED dribble looks to get kids and all soccer fans around the world involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa. Full route map and details can be found at Grassroots Soccer UNITED

This is a good cause and we wish Ethan lots of luck.
