Atalanta 1 - 1 AC Milan, Highlights

Filed under: AC Milan, Highlights, Italy, Ronaldinho

Milan’s uninspiring start to the season continued as they picked up only a point from their trip to struggling Atalanta. Leonardo’s team needed an 83rd-minute goal from Ronaldinho to earn them a draw against a team who played more than 50 minutes of the contest with 10 men.

Ronaldinho Getting Dropped For Champions League?

With reports surfacing that Leonardo is set to drop Ronaldinho for Milan’s upcoming Champions League match against Marseille, it got me thinking just how far he has fell in a few short years. From winning back to back World Player of the Year awards in 2004 and 2005, to now getting dropped for a hugely important Champions League game against Marseille. It’s been a few years since Ronaldinho has been at his best, which is a shame. Here’s to hoping that he can regain the form that made him the best player on the planet.

Hit the jump to check out Ronaldinho at his best.

Sports top earners - the Fortunate 50 and International 20

Sports Illustrated featured its Fortunate 50 list, displaying the top earning American athletes, and as you probably guessed it, its topped by Tiger Woods, who earned close to $100 milli in 2008($99,737,626 to be exact according to Fortune). This is crazy when you think that the figure is bigger than the next two guys combined, Phil Mickelson($52m) and LeBron James($42m). Its even crazier when you remembered that he missed half of the season because he was trying to play golf(and winning) with a blown out knee and a broken leg! Yesterday I tried to play golf slightly hung and my swing looked like I didn’t know my arse from my elbow.

Anyways, this is a futbol site and it is definitely It’s boom time for foreign-born athletes. Despite the slow economy, the average earnings of the top 20 non-American sportsmen are at an all-time high $29.5 million. In all, this year’s list features seven soccer players. See who they are are where they rank internationally after the jump (more…)

Love the view from behind where Rino lays the ball off, not much of a clear shot and an absolute bust by Ronaldinho.

The English midfielder will arrive in January and he will play in Serie A and in the UEFA Cup. “It will be a pleasure for me to have Beckham here. He is a serious athlete and a great professional,” Coach Ancelotti told the club’s official website. “If he is available for us for four months then we will be delighted to have him. He will play for Milan in Serie A and in Europe.”

The England international is keen on keeping up his fitness as he attempts to go for a record number of appearances with the Three Lions.

It’s great news for Milan as they will have Kaka, Ronaldinho and Beckham is a dream-team formation.
