10R’s Offseason

Pretty intense far east tour for Nike and Ronaldinho DOIS before the move to AC Milan and the Beijing Olympics with Brazil.

Now if he can just get back to the form he was at a year and a half ago, all will be forgiven.

Ahhhh The Good Ol’ Days

Remember, it was just three years ago that Ronaldinho won the award for the best player in the world.  Just goes to show that it does not matter what you’ve done, but what you’re doing in this game.

Even when your name is Ronaldinho and you’ve brought fame and fortune to a club.

Ronaldinho To AC Milan

Filed under: Beijing, Brazil, Ronaldinho, Transfer News

DOUBLE UPDATE - Ronaldinho’s been given the all-clear by Milan to join up with Dunga’s Beijing bound Olympic Team.

“We’ll respect the agreement that was made before his transfer to Milan,” Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said Wednesday.

UPDATE - Barcelona director of football, Txiki Begiristain has dropped an interesting tidbit regarding Ronaldinho’s transfer to AC Milan for 19.8 Million Pound.

Via Goal

The player will always decide where he wants to play. As a club, we can have 40 different offers but in the end, what counts is the player’s own desire,” he said.

The technical director also revealed one of the main deal-breakers that clinched the move: “This agreement was reached because Ronnie forfeited his right to 15% of the transfer fee.

I happen to be in Houston visiting old buds, watching beautiful tennis and having some cold ones by the pool when I opened the paper today and saw that half the known soccer universe is coming to town for a free payday soccer exibition tomorrow. Although doubtful, it is rumored officials from the Galaxy will meet with Ronaldinho at Reliant Stadium and make an offer.

Manchester City to Offer Ronaldinho £200,000 a Week!

ronaldinho-is-paid

Dunny already mentioned that City was given the OK to begin talks with Ronaldinho (and he also brought you one the greatest pictures of Ronaldinho ever!) And now according to the Guardian, Man City is prepared to pay Ronaldinho a staggering £200,000 a week! That is ridiculous! Apparently Man city has began discussions with Ronaldinho’s brother and agent Roberto de Assis, and apparently Ronaldinho even made a brief cameo himself. If City is to pull this deal off, this would have to be the transfer of the summer for sure.

If you are a City fan, do you want to see so much money spent on Ronaldinho? Is it too much, or does it give you the visibility and credibility to be viewed as a major club and attract better and better players?

Manchester City Allowed To Negotiate With Ronaldinho

Filed under: Barcelona, Manchester City, Ronaldinho, Rumors

Ronaldinho

Manchester City Executive Chairman Garry Cook has let the cat out of the bag after telling Radio Five Live that Barcelona gave City clearance to negotiate personal terms with Ronaldinho.

Thaskin Sinawatra has already admitted to wanting star power at the Eastlands for the upcoming year and the Brazilian is that type of player, BUT…

I’m just not sold as to how Ronaldinho would fit into Mark Hughes’ mentality.  Hughes loves tough training sessions, accountability and hard work.

There will never be a doubt as to the level of play and skill that Ronaldinho possesses, just the health and fitness of a player that is still only 28 years old.
