Sacha Baron Cohen was arrested in Milan yesterday after his alter - ego “Bruno” crashed the runway during the Agata Luiz della Prada show.

Cohen is in Milan working on a new film called Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Male.

Cohen was released without being charged and seemed to charm his way around the Milan Sempione police station.

A police officer said: ‘A British national by the name of Sacha Baron Cohen was brought here and identified. He did not have any id documents on him so someone was sent to his hotel when he got here to fetch his passport.

‘He was actually very funny and the first thing he said was ‘Can I make a phone call’ like they do on TV.’

Sacha Baron Cohen and his alter ego Bruno have done it to the fine citizens of Arkansas after organizing cage fights on consecutive days in Texarkana and Fort Smith.

Both fights ended with the two male fighters tearing each other’s clothes off and kissing their chests.

The man-0n-man action triggered the 1,500 fans to throw chairs and their $1 beer into the ring.

According to Variety, Sacha Baron Cohen, aka Borat,  aka Bruno, aka Jean Girard has been cast to play Sherlock Holmes for Columbia Pictures.  To compliment Sacha, Will Ferrell is going to play Watson and Judd Apatow will be co-producing . This has the chance to be something special and to bring back Watson and Holmes in an unbelievably funny way. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed on this one.
