Spartan Stadium: Installing Carpet

Spartan Stadium has a nice soccer history; it was the home of the San Jose Earthquakes and has hosted many US Men’s and Women’s national team games. Unfortunately, natural grass is being ripped out in favor of carpet. Local ACL reconstruction surgeons rejoice.

San Jose Earthquakes Partner with Tottenham

San Jose Earthquakes meet Tottenham Hotspurs…Tottenham Hotspurs meet San Jose Earthquakes.  According to the Seattle PI, the two clubs have formed a long term partnership “with a focus on both soccer and commercial development.” Who knows what this means exactly, but hopefully they can figure out a way to do something that is mutually beneficial to both clubs.

Highlights: San Jose Earthquakes at FC Dallas

It was “Buck a Brat” and “Dollar Beer Night” for the Thursday ESPN2 game, plus if you bought two tickets online you received a “Super Cooper” t-shirt.  Still, this was not a great example of “the beautiful game” and the attendance issues at FCD continue to be a concern. 

Cooper is showing no signs of slowing down btw.
