The union that represents referees have gone after the Football Association over the “lenient” ban handed down to Sir Alex Ferguson after his Improper Conduct Charge.
The FA Regulatory Commission has handed Sir Alex Ferguson a four match touchline ban (two of which are suspended), warned over his future conduct and fined 20,000 Pound after being found guilty of Improper Conduct over his comments about Referee Mike Wiley’s fitness levels.

After his very public blasting of Referee Alan Wiley’s fitness levels following Manchester United’s late 2 - 2 result at home against Sunderland, Sir Alex Ferguson made the first move by apologizing to both the man himself and the FA.
Nothing like an injury time own goal by the visitors to level the scoreline at Old Trafford that also sees Sir Alex questioning the referee’s fitness level and the amount of added time that should have been added in the post match interview…. And did Sunderland head coach and former United player Steve Bruce really refer to his former boss as the “Ayatollah”?
