In 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin of Apollo 11 became the first humans to walk on the surface of the Moon. But how far did they actually walk? Luckily, somewhere in the bowels of Cape Canaveral lives a soccer fan who has created a lunar map and added a proper pitch to show the distances travelled.

The guys looked a little sloppy on the left side of the defense, but you have to love the spectacular run in stoppage time for the winning goal…

With the Phoenix Mars Lander on a planet far, far away collecting soil samples, astronomers found what they are calling “three Super Earths” using a new Chilean telescope called HARPS (High Accuracy Radial velocity Planet Searcher).

The three planets found yesterday are 4.2, 6.7, and 9.4 times the Earth’s mass, and all three of them orbit their sun in less than 20 days.

Being unveiled today in New York, the Virgin Galactic is taking 100,000 Euro deposits for the 2 hour flight to space. Wonder is Sir Richard Branson is going to try and parachute out again or if this is the new LA charter for Ruud?
