With Roy Keane out, the Mirror is reporting that the Sunderland gig is going to either Gordon Strachan or big Sam Allardyce. Other names allgedely in the mix…Alan Curbishley, freaky deaky Steve Mclaren and David O’Leary. Who do you think would be the better choice?

With scoring the all important away goal in a 2 - 1 loss last week, Rennes came back and got the 2 - nil result at home that puts them through to face the Freaky, Deeky Dutch side FC Twente.
Beans already brought the Steve McClaren Dutch accent just about a week ago, and now he’s bringing it again.
Wonder if he realizes that pretty much every person in Holland understands / speaks Dutch and that he doesn’t have to pause in between every other word?
Anyone else wondering when he’s going to start rocking the super-sized umbrella again?
I’m a big fan of trying to embed yourself in a culture when you move to a new country. But trying to rock a fake ass accent after a month on the job? Come on son…that just ain’t right.

Steve McLaren’s Dutch inspiration after the jump?
The Guvn’a has one less person to worry about at the Ewood Park round table after Steve McClaren was named gaffer of Eredivisie side and Champions League preliminary qualifier FC Twente.
The 47 year old McClaren takes his first post after being sacked last year over failing to guide England to the 2008 Euros and will follow in the footsteps of Fred Rutten, who left to take over at Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
