Liverpool Captain Steven Gerrard will be breathing a bit easier today after being cleared of Assault and Affray over a disturbance at the Lounge Inn in Southport, Mersyside after a group of Liverpool players headed out to celebrate their 5 - 1 demoiliton of Newcastle at St. James’ Park.
Continued good times for Steven Gerrard and the Kop faithful as confirmation of a signed 4 year X 25 Million Pound contract extension has been offered and signed by the 29 year old English International.
After missing Liverpool’s 4 - 0 victory over Premiership side Blackburn at the weekend, head coach Rafa Benitiez opened up about the possibility of using midfielder Steven Gerrard at Stamford Bridge tomorrow night even though the Reds are on the backside of a 3 - 1 Champions League Quarter - Final first leg loss at home.
