District B13 Chase Scene

This could be one of the tightest fight / chase scenes to hit the big screen worldwide, but mainly seen only in France.

Now the guys behind District B13 are looking to make a sequel to their 2004 smash hit with the follow up being District B14 and will continue to be heavy on the fighting and Parkour action.

For those that might not know what parkour is, wikipedia defines it as “an activity with the aim of moving from one point to another as efficiently and quickly as possible, using principally the abilities of the human body. It is meant to help one overcome obstacles, which can be anything in the surrounding environment—from branches and rocks to rails and concrete walls—and can be practiced in both rural and urban areas.”

Anyone else imagine torn ACL’s and Compound Fractures (NSFW) if they tried this?

Spike Jonze - How They Get There

Filed under: Cool Ish, Street, Videos, WTF

This is why I love Spike Jonze.

I know if they put a microphone inside my head I’d be in trouble, but this guy has the ability to put all those ideas to film.

More Akka

I’ve talked about Akka Magazine on here before, and Dunny has mentioned Jermaine Vanenberg, so I’m not going to go into details about what these cats are all about. Let’s just say we are big fans of what they do, and that we would not be challenging them in a juggling contest. The two young dudes in the video are a couple cats from Amsterdam and are killin’ it on the street scene there. By the way, did you peep the little 1 v 1 court that they were battling in?

You need to know these guys

If you don’t already know Tim, Lawrence, Jason and Adriano, then you need to find out about them ASAP. One of the first to represent the US and do it well on an international stage (the 2006 World Cup), the guys from Cali (Tim and Adriano played at Cal St Fullerton and Lawrence and Jason at UC Irvine) take street to a different level for F11.
