Domenech named English based Arsenal full-backs Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna, Manchester United’s Patrice Evra, William Gallas (Arsenal), Lassana Diarra (Portsmouth) and Chelsea forwards Nicolas Anelka and Florent Malouda.

Coming off the bench in the 61st minute, Helm’s winning goal gave BBK a vital three points ahead of their showdown at 1st place Syrianska, just outside Stockholm next weekend.

Can you imagine going from a back up at Manchester City to number 1 at PSV?
After the 2007/08 Eredivisie Champions cut ties with Heurelho Gomes, who held a clean sheet in over 60% of his matches played with PSV and will now look to make his mark with Tottenham Hotspurs, Huub Stevens looked no further than 26 year old Swedish International Andreas Isaksson.
A four year deal was announced, but the fee has not been disclosed as of yet.
Isaksson has been the starter for Sweden since 2002 with over 60 caps to his name so far. With his overseas experience with Juve, Rennes and Manchester Cuty, you’d think he’d have no problem acclimating with his new surroundings in Eindhoven.
Keep an eye on the 21 year old Brazilian Cassio, who Isaksson will be battling for the number 1 spot. The youngster has the ability to push by the Swede if he isn’t careful, similar to what happened at Manchester City with Joe Hart.

The man who single handedly made the banana hammock cool again has announced his International Retirement from the game after Sweden’s Euro 2008 exit at the Group D stage.
Although he’s still only 31 years old, Freddie Ljungberg has been a part of the Swedish National Team set up since 1998, the same time he joined Arsenal after leaving Allsvenskan club Halmstads BK.
Ljungberg, who was named Captain of Sweden back in 2006 after taking over for Olof Mellberg, was capped for the very first time against the United States in Orlando, a game that I was fortunate enough to watch up close as I was in the Full Team’s camp under Steve Sampson.
If you thought he was fast at this years Euro’s, you should have seen him at 21 years old.
“The simple fact is that the physical strain of doubling on the national team and in club football for such a long time has finally taken its toll,” the 31-year-old midfielder said in a letter on the Web site of local paper Helsingborg Dagbladet (www.hd.se).
“And that is why I have decided to concentrate on playing for West Ham United and that is where my focus will be.”

Sweden’s other winger (not Freddie Ljunberg) Christian Wilhelmsson has been ruled out of the 2008 Euros after tearing his hamstring in the dying moments of the 2-nil win over 2004 Euro Champions Greece.
Chippen, who plays for Deportivo La Coruna in Spain and has over 50 caps for the Swedes, will have a three to four week recovery period for the injury meaning there is no way to get back before the tournament ends.
This is a huge loss for Sweden, but hopefully Lars Lagerback can figure out a way to employ a three forward system that sees Ibrahimovic up top alone, with Larsson and Rosenberg underneath.
