Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte

I’m a Blackberry dude at heart. They just seem to work best for me. However, this new Nokia is pretty ill. It comes with a carbon upper, a sapphire screen (that sounds cool) and some other high end features. Only thing is this little beauty is a Euro only edition, which pretty much leaves me out. So sad…

I Am Rich iPhone App

Have an iPhone and feel like dropping $999.99 on an application for it? Then the “I Am Rich” app might just be for you. Developed by Armin Heinrich, the app costs $999.99 and displays a glowing ruby-like light and the words I Am Rich. Open it and it will load which Heinrich calls a secret mantra that may help you you to “stay rich, healthy, and successful.” Somehow I can see that cats in the video below trying to show off this at a Hollywood club.

Guernica 3D

Digital Artist Lena Gieseke has created a 3D version of Pablo Picasso’s 1937 answer to the Nazi’s aerial bombings of the town Guernica.

The original painting is in “serious but stable condition” in its current home at the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid, but the Museum can not afford to undergo any further restorations after superstar art dealer/actor Tony Shafrazi spray-painted the words “Kill Lies All” across the front back in 1974.

Blackberry Thunder

The touch screen craze for cell phones is exploding. Ever since Apple released their iPhone, touch screens are starting to pop up from a variety of manufacturers.  Rumors have circulated about Blackberry jumping on the bandwagon, but now comes some credible info about this. The Blackberry 9500 (Thunder) will be RIM’s take on the touch screen. I know people are loving their iPhones, but i’m not sure the touch screen is the best way to go for the Blackberry. I don’t know if I could get down with this phone or not, but never say never. Oh, and by the way, word is this Blackberry will be a lifetime exclusive to Verizon and Vodafone.

HoloText Messaging

Everyday I am amazed by some technological advancement and the people that create them. This was achieved today by the HoloText. If this makes its way into our daily lives, reading text messages will become a hell of a lot more interesting. Just gotta be careful and make sure you don’t open certain text messages around certain individuals.

With the Phoenix Mars Lander on a planet far, far away collecting soil samples, astronomers found what they are calling “three Super Earths” using a new Chilean telescope called HARPS (High Accuracy Radial velocity Planet Searcher).

The three planets found yesterday are 4.2, 6.7, and 9.4 times the Earth’s mass, and all three of them orbit their sun in less than 20 days.

Robot Soccer

If University of Zurich Professor Rolf Pfeifer has his way, by 2050 his robots will replace the best players in the world on the pitch.

According to his estimations, a team from the European Robot Football Tournament will beat Austria by 2015 or 2017, but will take until 2025 to get past the Brazilians.
