How come no one is talking about this?

Filed under: MLS, Toronto FC, Transfer News

As I was scrolling through the latest MLS pre-season friendlies, I saw a curious name in the Toronto FC substitutions. In the 62nd minute, Kiki Musampa came on for Todd Dunivant with little fanfare and Toronto went on to beat Kansas City 2-0 down in Bradenton, Florida. So my question is, how can a guy who starred for Holland’s U-21’s back in the day, Ajax, Bordeaux, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City among others just slip under the radar and the only mention he gets in the subs (Musampa 62)? Yes, he did sign for Trabzonspor in Turkey and only lasted 14 games (but he did score 4 goals), but hell, ask Nicolas Anelka about his time in Turkey. I’m actually surprised that Musampa’s not in Red Bull camp with the Man City connection going on, but this trial with Toronto FC will be one that I’m paying close attention to.
