But Kop boss Rafa Benitez has the 28-year-old striker on his radar and has asked to be kept informed with Liverpool currently on tour in Thailand. Spurs and Fulham had looked set to fight it out for the 6ft 7in star with Portsmouth boss Paul Hart resigned to losing him. (more…)

Patrick Vieira to Spurs?

The Mirror is reporting that not only will Inter Milan let Patrick Vieira leave  for Tottenham, but they will “make up any shortfall in Patrick Vieira’s wages to push through his proposed move to Spurs.” Wow! Anyway, it sounds like Vieira may be unwilling to make the move because of his “affinity” to Arsenal.

And, how bad do Inter have to want him gone to be willing to cover part of his wages?

Tottenham have revealed plans for their new 58,000 seat stadium that is being planned as part of the Northumberland Development Project. The plan is for the new stadium to be built adjacent to White Hart Lane.

Defoe With Metatarsal Injury?

UPDATE - ‘Following further scans and examination, Jermain Defoe will undergo surgery tomorrow after suffering a stress fracture in his right foot,’ read a statement from Spurs.

‘Contrary to newspaper reports that Jermain may have been carrying the injury undetected at the time of his rejoining the Club, the injury, to the fifth metatarsal, was sustained post signing during a training session in the indoor arena.

Jermain is likely to be out for up to ten weeks.’

Reports coming out of England tonight are that recent returnee, Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has injured his metatarsal during a training ground challenge ahead of Saturday’s game at Bolton.
