USA v Honduras - Updated Viewing List

Filed under: TV, US National Team, WTF, World Cup Qualifying

blackout

The lack of broadcasting the USA v Honduras match is really annoying and frustrating. The closer the game gets, the more my level of frustration is growing. I want to blame somebody for this, but I’m not entirely sure where the blame needs to be aimed.  Instead, we are limited to a handful of bars around the country that have made an effort to get the game. Here is a list of bars that will be showing the match. I’m thinking about making the drive down to San Diego to catch this one.

If you make it out to any of these bars for the game, make sure you thank them for showing the game!

Some may think that the show isn’t what it used to be, and that may be true, but its still good television and worth tuning in. Anyways, the season ended this past Sunday and here is the Jay Z joint played at the end of the ep. You may not know, but this is off the Streets Is Watching Soundtrack. I’ve got this VHS somewhere but finding it wont do me any good, who has a VHS tape player thingy anyways… what were they called again VCRs? Anyhow…enjoy. (more…)

Its about time they started showing commercials and advertising this thing.

I’ve been looking forward to it for some time now. ESPNs 30 for 30 is an awesome idea and they have a ton of great film makers. I’m excited.

From espn:

Inspired by ESPN’s anniversary, ESPN Films’ 30 for 30 is an unprecedented documentary series featuring thirty films from some of today’s finest storytellers. Each filmmaker will bring their passion and personal point of view to their film detailing the issues, trends, athletes, teams, rivalries, games and events that transformed the sports landscape from 1979 to 2009.

The one for soccer is going to be nice, its called The Two Escobars. Synopsis after the jump (more…)
